The Taylor Haugen Foundation is honored to be chosen as a recipient for the Destin Commons’ Coins For A Cause for the second year. Proceeds from donations to the parking meters along the center’s interior streets and the Destin Commons’ annual Smoke on the Coast barbecue festival go to local charities.
This year’s 9th annual Smoke on the Coast starts at 5 p.m. with barbecue $1 samples starting at 5:30 p.m. With each sample, guests can vote for their favorite as People’s Choice winners with over $85,000 in donations benefiting local charities. Live music and a 4th of July firework celebration will close out the night.

Every yellow ticket counts as a vote towards People’s Choice and helping the foundation receive more support from Coins For A Cause. Last year the foundation placed second in People’s Choice voting and third in the Most Spirited competition.
