Last year i played football at the position of wide receiver for my high school team up here in New York. About two weeks into the season we were playing an older team from a town called Oceanside. In the 2nd quarter i went up for a jump ball and was hit in the ribs. I thought i broke a rib but because we weren’t sure i went to the hospital. Later that day i found out i have a grade 3 laceration in my liver and was considered a miracle that they did not have to perform surgery. I spent 5 days in the ICU and my season was over. This was a year ago, this year one Saturday before my playoff game i was watching college gameday, and the story of your son was on and as i was watching and learning about this boy my age,( my position ,very similar hit ) i could see how much he meant to your community and to you . Before the game i prayed to Taylor and asked him to watch over me from one athlete to another. When we took the field we won the toss and got the ball first. First play was a deep post to me and i took it 74 yards to the endzone. Once i crossed the goaline i dropped to one knee and just thanked God and thanked Taylor because i could feel him watching over me during that entire play. And i didn’t send this to you earlier because i wasn’t sure if it would be right for me to pretend to know your son personally but in a way i think i kind of do. Now everyday day i pray to your son and ask him to watch over me throughout everything i do because i know that someone up there he is. February 6, 2010
