NWFL Daily News Poem Submission

My contribution to the Haugen family, friends and classmates:
When God calls His children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question
the wisdom of his love
For no heartache compares
with the death of one’s own child
Who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling all the aged to His fold,
So he picks a little rosebud, before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
So He takes only a few
To make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try,
The hardest word for us to say
will always be “Goodbye”.
So when our loved ones have departed,
we who are left behind
Must realize God loves His children.
And Angels are hard to find.
Please accept my and my family’s deepest condolences and sympathy on the loss of your “dear angel”!
