There are four main areas of emphasis for the Taylor Haugen Foundation:

1. The Taylor Haugen Trophy
The Taylor Haugen Trophy Mission
The mission of the Taylor Haugen Trophy is to recognize faith-based, student athletes who have overcome, persevered and dynamically improved in their sport over the course of time; a community oriented and respected team player, leader and athlete that lives up to the credo, “DON’T QUIT - NEVER GIVE UP.”

The All Sports Association and the Taylor Haugen Trophy
The All Sports Association is an organization whose membership is made up of dues paying volunteers whose primary mission is to provide a contribution of time to raise money for local youth oriented non-profit organizations with an emphasis on sports programs.

All Sports therefore wanted to do something to uphold the legacy of Taylor Reid Haugen and in discussions with the Taylor Haugen Foundation, now work together to create the Taylor Haugen Trophy.

2. The Taylor Reid Haugen Scholarship Program
Taylor Reid Scholarships are not limited in number of recipients or amounts. The initial intent is that a minimum of two scholarships per year will be awarded to those graduating high school students who best meet the established criteria. Of the two scholarships, one may be to a Niceville High School Student and the other will be to a regional student. The intent is to remain flexible in order to expand geographically and monetarily, as the foundation grows.

3. Oversight of the Taylor Haugen Memorial Fund at The First United Methodist Church of Niceville
First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Niceville maintains a separate account of donated assets to fund youth based, special needs and special requirement activities. These activities are focused on, but not limited to, providing scholarships to under-served children to attend Christian Youth Retreats. The Taylor Haugen Foundation approves the Memorial Fund’s allocations which are operated through the Community Life Center of the FUMC.

4. Support to Other Community Oriented Activities.
This area of the foundation allows for support to any other activities, events, people and services not directly identified or covered in the other three areas. The activities supported must still meet the intent of the foundation’s mission as well as with the approval of the Board, as activities that promote one or more of the following characteristics; Christian faith, athletics, community service, academics and leadership.

“According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” - Philippians 1:20 KJV

From Taylor's guest book...

I know that there are no words to ease your pain, but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. It sounds like Taylor was a wonderful young man. God bless.
